Tashima-san is our landlord and host.
Tashima-san's father was the founder of Minolta. (The "ta" stands for Tashima.)
This is Tashima-san's uncle's home. He has passed away and his aunt is in a nursing home. We are fortunate to be in this lovely space.
Shoes Off.....slippers on.
Washer, spinner, bath/shower
Traditional Japanese sleeping room.
The O'Brien nest.
We turned our second sleeping space into a walk-in closet, changing space, dressing room, and storage.

Looks like a much bigger living space than the original plan?! It's great to get a sense of where you're living. Thanks for sharing details on this adventure. We miss you!
Glad you are able to share this - it is great to see where you are and know that you are doing well. Look forward to seeing your next update.
Amy--I've just finished "traveling" with you and your family, through all of your postings. It looks like a wonderful adventure and what an education for Hannah and Spencer! Enjoy it all!! Wilma Wenzel
